There are two new features on this instrument which will be standard from now on with our tenor ukuleles. The first is that the nut has been replaced with a comb leading the strings over a nut fret. This assures that the action will be as low as possible at the nut end of the fingerboard. Another new feature is the tailpiece. Terminating the strings at the bridge causes way too many problems. Of course if you prefer the traditional nut and bridge arrangement, we can always do that too. There is a slot in the tailpiece where the knotted ends of the strings are hidden. Also note that the sides and back of this instrument are made of purple heart, which is absolutely gorgeous when polished.
